Job Overview

Candidate will be part of an CQE/RMA engineering team that is responsible for Customer Quality Issue. Candidate will lead cross functional team to debug customer platform failures specifically for RF front-end, transceiver and baseband control on the worlds most advanced wireless modems.

General Overview:

Lead Qualcomm Customer Quality Issues for resolution and corrective actions

Evaluate/ debug customer return device on system level platform as well as on device level to compare and to analyze for root cause investigation

Lead debug and data gather activity for failure correlation & issue duplication process

Drive internal teams on customer quality issues with the goal of reducing outgoing PPM defective to customers

Provide customer prospective (voice of customer) to internal stakeholders with the view to driving customer satisfaction metrics higher

Define priority among customer corrective actions to be taken and guide implementation to the internal team

Generate weekly reports to management

Update customers in a timely fashion regarding the status of quality issues or any requests

Minimum Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

+ 7+ years Hardware Engineering experience or related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

+ Minimum 5 years of hand-on RF system and debug experiences

+ Test, Debug, Root Cause for 3G/4G/5G cellular systems.

+ Writing unit test cases, design documents and procedure documents.

+ Basic understanding in cellular modem and/or RF system, and at least one of the wireless standard.

+ Experience with transceiver and receiver design and development and knowledge with cellular wireless system design, implementation, test.

+ Experience with RF test equipment measurements for power, spectrum, and waveform quality in at least one of 2G/3G/4G/5G cellular standards

+ Debugging embedded software using an in-circuit emulator (Lauterbach Trace32 JTAG) for an ARM processor.

+ Experience with power and spectrum signal analysis using IQ capture data

+ Experience using any Test Equipment such as Anritsu/Rohde & Schwarz/Keysight/Oscilloscope/others

+ RF testing experience – Demonstrated expertise working on a lab bench with HW and RF Test equipment (protocol test call boxes)

+ Preferred Hands on experience with Tools such as (QXDM, QRACT, QPST, QSPR, ADB, Android, Crash Tools, QMIC, others)

+ Highly technical and hand-on RF system debug and lab experience is preferred.

+ Ability to multi-task and thrive in exciting and highly complex RF issues.

+ Enjoy taking on new challenges frequently.

Education Requirements

Master or PhD degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering with special focus on RF system or testing is a plus.
