**Job Overview** In this role you will work in Qualcomm’s RF Front-End (RFFE) Department working on advanced front-end modules for cellular/wireless applications. The position offers the opportunity to design advanced RF Front-End Filter to ensure design success and market leadership. Qualcomm solutions include highly customized LNAs, PAs, FEMs, antenna tuner and multi-throw switches in standalone and module packages for 4G and 5G wireless cell phone and ultra-mobile devices. This position entails the feasibility, conception and releasing to mass volume production of RF filters based on SAW or BAW technology. The products developed will address modern wireless applications (LTE, CDMA, WCDMA, etc.) to be integrated in the latest smartphones on the market. The RF design engineers will run linear and nonlinear simulations, study and analyze electromagnetic and acoustic phenomena, evaluate and optimize device performance, etc. Finally, the RF design engineer will contribute to the continuous improvement of the design flow. Major areas of responsibility include CAD design using internal and commercial tools, product industrialization and designin support at the customer.

The responsibilities will include but not be limited to the following:

SAW filter design with co-design with module laminate and layout and simulation

Filter integration into multilayer laminates

Solve complex RF technical issues with techniques developed in Qualcomm

Participating and conducting design reviews

Performing lab correlation with Module E2E signal path simulation

**Minimum Qualifications** 3+ years of experience in the following areas is required:

Experience using 3D and 2D EM simulation tools (HFSS)

Experience with RF circuit simulators (ADS, AWR)

Experience with RF fundamentals such as Smith chart and impedance matching

Experience with solid state physics

Experience with microelectronic fabrication

**Preferred Qualifications** Measurement of microwave active and passive devices

Usage of test equipment such as VNA/PNA/PXA and high-speed oscilloscope, micro-probes and different calibration methods

Exceptional analytical and problem solving skills

Welldeveloped communication skills

**Education Requirements** Required: Master’s, Electrical Engineering

Preferred: Doctorate, Electrical Engineering
