Business Development Senior Director, Energy & Utilities is responsible for Qualcomms IoT business in the areas of Smart grid, Energy & Utilities sectors. In this role, you will be responsible for the overall strategy, planning & execution, working closely with various internal stakeholders and support teams.
+ Business leadership for Smart grid & Utilities sectors including Electricity, Gas & water.
+ Drive segment financial objectives including revenue, profit & growth
+ Establish working relationships with digitalization & technology leads at various Utilities globally
+ Generate strong insights into IoT & digitalization needs
+ Generate requirements for Qualcomms IoT product roadmap
+ Work closely with various internal stakeholders like product managers & system architects to identify Qualcomm chipset-based solutions
+ Develop annual operating plan and long-term strategy including investment plans
+ Develop go to market plans for new products
+ Represent Qualcomm in industry forums & conferences
+ Drive key customer and partner accounts directly
+ Work closely with Qualcomm regional sales teams to scale business globally
+ Develop partner eco-system & new business models

+ Bachelors degree in science or engineering
+ 10+ years of experience in Electric Utilities or Distribution companies
+ 5+ years experience in technical marketing, product management or customer account management
+ Successfully developed and managed a business segment
+ Ability to travel globally as needed
+ Strong insight into key trends & digitalization needs of Utilities
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills
+ Creative problem-solving skills
+ Strong technology background
+ Strong self-starter with the ability to build a network within the organization and ability to manage deadlines and priorities
+ Proven ability to work cross-functionally
+ Insight into emerging business models
+ Financial analysis skills
