The Qualcomm Global CAD team is currently seeking an experienced CAD/EDA Engineer to develop CAD tools and SW solutions for latest design, methodology, technology, algorithms and automation. This role will include:

+ Join the team and be a key contributor to develop the next generation unified end-to-end SoC design automation platform

+ Drive and develop scalable automation solutions in the area of SoC integration, power, verification, and emulation

+ Partner with SoC design leads, develop and drive SoC design methodologies and processes for better efficiency and quality

+ Drive the deployment of production-ready CAD automation solutions to multi-tier chip design projects

+ Drive the CAD automation project definition, milestone, feature list, and work with team members across multi-sites on project execution

+ Strong SW skills and understanding the challenges in a complex SoC design environment

+ Resolve issues in all phases of development to assure smooth project execution

Minimum Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or related field.

+ 7+ years ASIC design, verification, or related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

+ Hands-on experience in various CAD tool/flow development, such as RTL, synthesis, timing, power, and integration. The candidate should understand the algorithmic layer of each automation.

+ Candidate should be able to build CAD automation SW independently and drive methodology deployment.

+ Strong SW skills in one or more application language including C/C++, Python, JavaScript or equivalent.

+ Strong understanding of software design principles, algorithms and data structures.

+ Experience with large scale software development, QA, integration and deployment systems.

+ Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills with the ability to work independently

+ Highly motivated, excellent team spirit, product and customer oriented

+ 10-15+ years of relevant experience.

+ Lead/management experience preferred.

Education Requirements

Required: Master’s, Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science

Preferred: Ph.D., Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science
