Overview

RESPONSIBILITIES: The Field Operations Coordinator shall oversee the activities of the Workforce Development Coordinator III positions located at the CIMC Eastern Sierra, Fresno and Sacramento Field Offices. Shall provide monitoring of field office operations to insure compliance and provide technical assistance on an ongoing basis. Shall insure all activities are operating at an acceptable level with respect to program goals and objectives under CIMC workforce development programs. Shall be responsible for providing direct services to program clients. Shall make pertinent recommendations to the Executive Director. Shall supervisor the Workforce Development Coordinator II stationed at the CIMC Central Office.

REQUIREMENTS: Three (3) years employment development work experience in a supervisory capacity preferably with an Employment and Training Program demonstrating the knowledge and abilities; and a Bachelor’s degree with major work in Business, Social Work or related field. Qualified work experience may be substituted for the educational requirements on a year for year basis.

KNOWLEDGE OF: Federal employment and training programs; program services available; off site management principles and techniques; and computer operations including web based conferencing methods.

ABILITY TO: Supervise and direct subordinate staff; analyze and interpret federal regulations, program policies, and technical manuals; plan, develop and review program planning and field operations; analyze, assess and measure effectiveness of program activities and develop recommendations for changes when necessary; communicate effectively with subordinate staff, clients or members of the business community; present information effectively to management, clients, and public agencies; organize and maintain records and prepare reports; operate computer equipment including digital media applications and paperless client records management system; and travel on a regular basis.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: Strong communication, management and supervisory skills. Possess a valid driver license, good driving record, own automobile and adequate insurance.

STARTING PAY: $1,136.80 to $1,182.40 weekly DOE
