Qualcomms Chipset Architecture and systems team drive the analysis and recommendations for chipset partitioning. power distribution network, clock distribution network, and interfaces for our industry-leading chipsets. The team drives component, cost and performance targets and collaborates with chip architecture teams towards the goal of best in class products for our customers.
We have exciting & dynamic technical leadership positions available in platform optimization and power distribution areas. QCT Chipset Architecture team is looking for System Architects across tiers from high-tier to low-tier.
+ Analysis of Smartphone/compute/auto/IOT requirements, mapping of requirements to chipsets, discrete components and development of architectural specifications.
+ Development of Chipset/Discrete-component partition with emphasis on overall product cost, performance, flexibility, scalability and reusability.
+ Definition of chipset interface electrical and logical specifications ensuring consistency and plug & play functionality within product families. Analysis of discrete components, cost, power and performance.
+ Setting targets for and driving bill of materials and cost reduction, and best in class power and user experience.

+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
+ 2+ years Systems Engineering or related work experience.
+ BS with 7 yrs or MS with 5 yrs experience in system or chipset development for wireless/handheld applications.
+ High-tier, mid-tier and low-tier Smartphone and/or Compute/Auto/IOT platform development.
+ Understanding of Power & Clock supply architecture for Smartphones, compute and other devices, memory subsystem requirements and architecture.
+ Wireless technologies, semiconductors, packaging, board level design or development.
+ Modeling and Simulation Tools for functionality, performance, power, cost.
Required: Bachelor’s, Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering Preferred: Master’s, Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering.
