The QCT chipset power team is focused on achieving industry leading power consumption on Qualcomms Modem and Application Processor chipsets. In this position, you will be involved in all stages of the design cycle guiding the power-efficient design of the end-end solution. Responsibilities include:
+ Identification, analysis and triage of system level obstacles to optimize power
+ Chipset and system level power modeling, analysis and optimization for Qualcomms Modem and Application processor solutions.
+ Optimize power-efficiency and performance of present generation designs and help architect future products.
+ Guide multi-function groups through the design cycle in realizing the power targets set forth at the inception of the project
+ Architect power efficient systems
+ Design of power features and work with a wide set of teams across the company (systems, software, hardware, etc.) in the productization
+ Customer interaction to advertize the capabilities of the chipset, and to understand and address specific power requirements.

+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
+ 2+ years Systems Engineering or related work experience.
**1-5 years of experience in the following areas is required:**
+ Application processor and/or Modem Communication systems design and/or Architecture, with experience in one or more mobile technologies areas (e.g., WAN modem, CPU, camera, video, graphics, )
+ Experience in software design, development, and commercialization of System-level power features is required, and an interest in System modeling and analysis is a must.
+ Solid foundation in Electrical Engineering, with the ability to work with spreadsheets and other custom modeling tools at a detailed level.
+ Systems/HW background with a good understanding of microprocessor architecture and common SoC hardware blocks (Interconnects, Display, Graphics, etc.)
