The Software Analytics and Global Automation (SAGA) team, within the larger Products and Tools Group at Qualcomm, enables key automation workflows across Qualcomm as well as productions for our customers. From developing infrastructure to working with partners, we find the best ways to build engineering solutions that are cost-effective, available, scalable, secure, and forward-looking.

As a software engineer on the SAGA team, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining commercial-grade software tools for development, testing and production within and outside Qualcomm.

Responsibilities:

+ Design and implement multi-platform, high-volume, low-latency communication software to communicate with devices over various types of connections

+ Design, abstract and implement high-performance functional modules which can be used by task-oriented applications

+ Design and implement efficient protocols among software components

+ Design and implement unit tests

+ Be part of a cross-functional team, with a large amount of ownership and responsibility for managing things directlyTitle determined based upon candidate skill set.

Minimum Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

+ 5+ years Software Engineering or related work experience.

+ 2+ years experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

+ Experience building web apps using a front-end JavaScript web framework such as Angular, React, Ember.

+ Proficiency with fundamental front-end technologies, including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

+ Proficiency with a modern server-side language such as C#, Python, Node.

+ Familiarity with SQL databases such as MySQL, MS SQLServer

+ Experience using version control systems such as Git, Perforce

+ Experience designing and building backend REST APIs such as WebAPI, Django REST, Node Express.

+ Experience with using an ORM library such as Entity Framework, Django.

+ Familiarity with microservice architecture patterns

+ Experience with agile development methods including continuous integration and continuous deployment such as Jenkins, Travis.

Education Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
