This is an opportunity to join a team that is pioneering the design and standardization of applications, services, network architectures, protocols, and systems to fully realize the potential of Connected and Automated Vehicles (CAV) and Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS). The focus of the job includes design and standardization work on security and privacy of V2X system, automated driving system, and cyberphysical system in general.
The candidate is expected to directly participate in team design activities, including those related to the security and privacy of applications, services, protocols of V2X system, but also of automated driving systems.
The candidate will operate in collaboration with different business units within the company, including research projects and product groups. The candidate will work in an exciting environment with a team of some of the brightest systems engineers in the industry and will have frequent interaction with other engineering disciplines.
The job will be largely based in the office, but some travel (up to four times a year) may be involved to attend standards meetings or internal research events.
**Preferred Location:** Boxborough, MA
+ Solid understanding of wireless communication systems and wireless radio technology principles is required.
+ Experience in security of CAV and ITS is essential.
+ A good understanding of radio access layer technologies, in particular 3GPP C-V2X, is a plus.
+ A good understanding of Machine Learning techniques is A plus. **Additional Skills:**
+ Excellent verbal and written communication, as well as interpersonal skills required.
+ Candidate should highlight any experience in simulation tools such as VEINS, MATLAB, CARLA **Preferred Education:**
+ PhD in the field of system or network security, or MS with 3+ years work experience in that field, with strong preference for expertise in Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) and connected and automated vehicles (CAV).
+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
+ 5+ years Systems Engineering or related work experience.
