**Job Overview** This is a position in the development of Qualcomm’s next generation processor design. In this role, you will be working on the specification, micro-architecture and design of RTL blocks for a high-performance, low-power ARM CPU/L2 employing leading-edge modeling, design, and verification technologies to create low-power, high-performance products. You will collaborate with other engineering teams to complete solutions that address functional, performance, power, and cost requirements. In this role, you will:

Participate in unit-level micro-architecture development and design documentation

Implement logic in Verilog RTL based on high-level specifications

Provide verification specifications and reviews

Participate in unit and top-level synthesis and timing closure

Work with design team members across disciplines (Logic, Circuits, PD, DFT)

Meet all function, area, power, and performance requirements

Support Post Silicon verification and bring up

**Minimum Qualifications** A minimum of 7 years of industry work experience in:

– Experience with RTL-level CPU/L2 design

– Experience with CPU/L2 micro-architecture in one or more of the following areas: Instruction fetch and decode, branch prediction, instruction scheduling, register renaming, out-of-order execution, integer and floating point execution pipes, load/store execution caches, processor and system-level memory coherency

– Experience designing for synthesis targeted to achieve specific power, frequency and area targets

– Understanding of functionality, performance & physical implementation trade-offs

– Assembly language for ARM or other architectures

– Experience using industry-standard RTL simulation and debug tools

– Experience with the specification and creation of design test benches using UVM, Verilog, or System Verilog

– Experience with Perl or another similar scripting language

**Education Requirements** Required: Bachelor’s, Computer Engineering and/or Electrical Engineering

Preferred: Master’s, Computer Engineering and/or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
