**Job Overview** Qualcomm CDMA Technologies, a.k.a. QCT – http://www.qualcomm.com/qct/, is the world leader in wireless ICs powering the majority of 3G & 4G devices and is the largest fabless semiconductor in the world. QCT is looking for a CPU Performance Engineer.

Responsibilities:

+ Processor Performance: Model, Analysis, Correlation, Recommendations.

+ Manage performance analysis on emulation platforms.

+ Work with architecture and RTL teams.

+ Work with and contribute to system level performance analysis.

**Minimum Qualifications** 2+ years of experience in the following areas is required:

+ Modern in-order and out-of-order processor core performance analysis and architecture.

+ Processor related benchmarks such as SPECs, browser benchmarks, etc.

+ Processor resource and benchmarks.

+ Trade-off studies.

+ ISAs such as x86, SPARC, MIPS, Power, is preferred.

+ Processor performance building.

+ Trade-offs of accuracy and model for architectural exploration.

+ Performance analysis through emulation.

+ Memory consistency models such as x86-TSO, weak ordering.

+ Multi-core and multi-threaded processor performance analysis, thread scheduling

+ Operating system and processor interactions.

**Preferred Qualifications** 2+ years of experience in the following areas is preferred:

+ ARM Instruction Set Architectures (ISAs) and their implementation within in-order and out-of-order processor cores.

+ Experience with emulation for performance analysis purpose.

**Education Requirements** Required: Master’s, Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering

Preferred: Doctorate, Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering
