Responsible for championing high quality for Qualcomms strategic Korea customers
Drive cross functional technical teams to identify containment and determine root cause for Customer issues. Cross functional teams may consist of Design, Software, Verification/Integration, Product Engineering, Test Engineering, Packaging Engineering, Failure Analysis, Customer Engineering, Sales Ops and Supplier Quality Engineering
Be the San Diego Quality voice for the Korea customers
Work closely with customer to fully understand their business from a quality perspective
Escalate potential issues to Qualcomms management to avoid customer disruption and ensure quality
Provide Qualcomms cross functional team with customer priorities to properly focus team
Oversee RMA process and aggressively drive to minimize RMA cycle time
Write and deliver customer facing presentations to communicate frequent technical status and deliver technical solution
Resolve complex issues through in-depth data mining, hands on technical analysis and strong technical leadership while automating routine task
Make decisions and determine root cause based on well thought-out data and facts
Improve efficiency via metrics optimization and monitoring such as RMA cycle time, repeat failures, issues effecting multiple customers, DPPM, etc

+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Applied Sciences, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
+ 7+ years Quality Engineering or Quality Assurance experience or related work experience.
+ 10 years of experience in the semiconductor industry with a wide breadth of knowledge (Design, DFT, Packaging, Characterization, Test, Reliability, Fab, Assembly and Failure Analysis)
+ 5 years of customer management experience
+ 3 years in PC or Mobile Industry with primary focus on Test Engineering, Applications Engineering, RFA/Digital Systems Performance testing.
+ Proven ability to work with both external and internal customers
+ Proven ability to work in a fast paced environment to achieve commitments and ensure proper process is followed
+ Strong verbal and written skills. Ability to clearly organize and articulate information
+ Ability to influence others to overcome complex challenges, drive to decision or inspire new ways of thinking
+ Global team player, open to change, can do attitude and demonstrated process improvement leadership
+ Solid product debug experience
+ Demonstrate problem solving skills driving multi-functional teams ranging from design to manufacturing
+ Quality/Engineering function experience in semiconductor, mobile or related industry.Hands on knowledge/application of quality tools, statistics and problem solving techniques.
+ Expertise in digital, analog, RF/RFFE.
+ Handset Systems Knowledge: a) high level understanding of the key mobile components such as RF Transceiver, RFFE, Power Management, Codec, Modems, etc. and how they are expected to interact ; b) understanding what certain failure symptoms point to in terms of areas contributing to customer issues.
+ Knowledge in modules assembly process and test techniques
+ Fluency in Korean is highly desirable
Required: Bachelor’s, Electrical Engineering and/or Industrial & Prod Engineering and/or Mechanical Engineering
Preferred: Master’s, Electrical Engineering and/or Industrial & Prod Engineering and/or Mechanical Engineering
