Job Overview
Qualcomm’s DDR PHY team is currently seeking mixed-signal design engineer. who will be directly involved in architect design and system level analysis of high speed data/clock paths for latest LPDDR standards. Design goals include high-speed Rx/Tx and low power circuit design, to provide best-in-class performance, power, and area (PPA) solutions. **Responsibilities:** Architecture and design of high-speed Rx/Tx, clocking and low power circuits for LPDDR/4x @ 4.2gbps and LPDDR5 @ 6.4gbps. End-to-end system timing budgets, trade-offs for best PPA and design for yield. Exhaustive pre-silicon design validation flows, channel optimization, power delivery and signal/power integrity.

Minimum Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or related field.
+ 2+ years ASIC design, verification, or related work experience
Preferred Qualifications
+ 7+ years of experience in analog and mixed-signal circuit design for high speed DDR PHYs in latest technology nodes. High speed Rx/Tx design techniques (like CLTE, DFE, pre-emphasis, etc.) and clocking circuits.
+ Experience with system level analysis of high speed off-choip DDR DRAMs interfaces (LPDDR4/4x & LPDDR5)
+ In-depth understaning of package and PCB and power delivery
+ Experience in latest process technology nodes.
+ Experience in custom schematic capture, layout and SPICE analysis
+ Good understanding or architecture, system and integration aspects for DDR PHYs
+ Exposure to DDR4, LPDDR, GDDR6 & wide-memory systems
+ Good understanding of design for yield and production challenges with DDR systems
+ Good understanding of JEDEC DDR specs and timing parameters.
Education Requirements
Required: Bachelor’s, Electrical Engineering
Preferred: Master’s, Electrical Engineering
