QCT DDR PHY team develops high-speed/low-power DRAM memory interface for all Qualcomm chipsets in latest DDR technologies and advanced process technology nodes. This position requires involvement in various aspects of DDR system architecture planning, front-end and physical design integration, from architecture through tapeout.
+ Focused analysis and ownership of specific DDR PHY architecture components
+ Development of system timing budgets, both on-die and off-chip.
+ Competitive analysis of power/area/performance.
+ Coordination and oversight of DDR PHY project execution across all sub-IP teams.
+ Reviews and guidance to front-end and physical design teams.
+ Signal and power integrity reviews and guidance on bottlenecks resolution.

+ Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or related field.
+ 5+ years ASIC design, verification, or related work experience.
+ 5+ years experience in DDR design.
+ In-depth understanding of package and PCB design, timing budget, signal integrity and power delivery.
+ VLSI circuits understanding, including Spice analysis.
+ Experience in latest process technology nodes.
+ Excellent communication skills and ability to work across multiple teams across global locations.
+ Unix/Perl/TCL scripting (must be comfortable with writing scripts)
+ Good understanding of DDR PHY architecture, system and integration aspects
+ Exposure to LPDDR DDR, GDDR6, and wide-memory systems
+ Good understanding of design for yield and production challenges with DDR systems.
+ Good understating of JEDEC DDR specs and timing parameters.
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or related field.
Preferred: Master’s, Electrical Engineering
