**Job Description:**

**Basic Purpose-**

Main job is to maintain, develop, analyze and communicate data and information for key business decisions on demand forecast. The purpose of the position is to be the key information link between the planning system and the business.The Demand Planning Manager reports to the Replenishment Director and gathers global input from multiple sources to help predict and manage customer demand. The position is accountable for key metrics related to working capital performance, including forecast accuracy, bias, service level, etc.

**Description-**

•Manage the Grocery demand planning team, direct reports include Demand Leads. Develops, prepares or improves processes, procedures, and instructions regarding planning

•Creating and executing roadmap deliverables to increase maturity of the Demand Planning function across all levels of the organization

•Recruit top talents to build a strong supply chain planning team that focuses on KPIs, root cause and corrective actions

•Execute daily, weekly, period, annual and ad hoc demand planning management activities with timeliness, rigor and completeness to drive a positive business impact. Core activities include but are not limited to: Post-Performance Analytics, Customer Cross-Functional Reviews, Product Cross-Functional Review, Forecast Adjustment, Annual Operating Plan (AOP), and Controls

•Set and deliver against performance targets (i.e., forecast accuracy and bias) to ensure aggregated performance is achieved

•Identify and deliver performance improvements to drive forecast accuracy

•Monitor performance and communicate to stakeholders’ the business unit performance, drivers and action to be taken

•Drive improvements to Demand Planning Process, tools and meetings. Drive Improvements to reduce forecast errors. Measure and publish forecast error performance, including forecast error, bias performance

•Capture risks and opportunities to forecast, publish notes and recommendations

•Drive other projects as needed by management or as business needs change. Drive continuous improvement of advanced planning systems to improve productivity

•Coordinates cross functionally with a diverse group of internal stakeholders to achieve optimal outcomes for USF

**Qualifications-**

*Education/Training:*

+ Four-year college degree in business, operations, supply chain management required.

Related Experience/Requirements:

Prior foodservice or demand management experience preferred. Five years of management experience required. Supply chain understanding – focus on demand planning preferred. Strong Financial Acumen required. (must be able to interpret sales data within the market).

+ This candidate will be a self-starter with ability to work independently with minimal supervision and within a matrix environment required.
+ The ability to manage difficult issues and implement positive change is required.

+ The ability to effectively manage projects, timelines, and change management is required.
+ Strong analytical and decision-making skills, including the ability to identify and analyze problems, set priorities, and to recommend creative solutions.
+ Capable of building strong cross-functional relationships and understanding needs of internal customers.
+ Ability to think at a strategic level and translate strategic vision to actionable plans.
+ Demonstrated ability to lead teams and build teamwork to accomplish business objectives
+ Experience with Advanced Planning Systems (JDA/Manugistics) is highly preferred.
+ Six Sigma/Process Excellence tools, training and/or certification are highly preferred.
+ Experience with Microsoft Office products, advanced Microsoft Access and Excel user. Demonstrated accuracy and attention to detail.
