Job Overview

Qualcomm is a company of inventors that unlocked 5G ushering in an age of rapid acceleration in connectivity and new possibilities that will transform industries, create jobs, and enrich lives. But this is just the beginning. It takes inventive minds with diverse skills, backgrounds, and cultures to transform 5Gs potential into world-changing technologies and products. This is the Invention Age – and this is where you come in.

Qualcomms Ultrasonic Fingerprint Sensor team is looking for bright engineers with excellent analytical and technical skills. This is a great opportunity for a designer to work on all aspects of digital chip design including architecture, RTL design, synthesis, working closely with physical design teams, and post Silicon bring-up.

Work closely with cross-functional teams to finalize block level specifications. Perform Verilog RTL coding of block level designs. Coordinate with other designers and perform SoC level integration of design blocks. Qualify RTL code with frontend design tools such as Lint & CDC. Write DFT-ready RTL code by implementing hooks for Scan and BIST insertion. Write hard macro level synthesis constraints for IO interfaces and be responsible for handoff of hard macro to chip top. Verify synthesis results using LEC tools. Work closely with Design Verification team in helping fix design bugs and in achieving code coverage and functional coverage closure. Work with PD team in driving design to timing closure. Run pre-Si power estimation tools prior to tapeout. Perform post-Si lab testing of chip.

All Qualcomm employees are expected to actively support diversity on their teams, and in the Company.
