**Qualcomm’s Government Technologies (QGOV)** has a mission to promote and advance Qualcomm’s wireless terrestrial communication technologies to the government community of users. New products, innovations, research and development in all areas of the company’s technology are applied to address the unique communication challenges of government users. Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Must be a U.S. citizen and eligible for a U.S. Government security clearance.
Candidate will work as a member of the software team, covering all aspects of the design, development, integration and debugging of software in a real-time embedded environment. Assigned tasks will involve a range of activities, including the development of software features and test strategies for CDMA/LTE/UMTS/5G modems, and the investigation and resolution of issues for these products. **Typical Tasks include:**
+ Design, implement and perform unit level testing of software features for CDMA/LTE/UMTS/5G modems
+ Work with team members to coordinate development, integrate systems and verify features/components
+ Support the investigation and resolution of issues found during test and field use
+ Provide technical documentation as needed

+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
+ 5+ years Software Engineering or related work experience.
+ 2+ years experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.
+ Have at least 5 years in an embedded software engineering role with strong exposure to modem firmware
+ Good knowledge of real-time firmware/embedded software development, software architecture, system design, object-oriented analysis & design, C/C++ Good understanding of wireless technologies: CDMA, LTE, WCDMA, GPS, etc. with expertise in several of these technologies
+ Experience with design, verification, and debug of baseband wireless modems coded in C/C++ in real-time software defined radio environments
+ Experience with debuggers, vector signal analyzers, and signal generators.
+ Excellent written and verbal communication skillsCandidate has an active Secret/Top Secret clearance with a current Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI). Previous Security Clearance also highly considered.
+ Experience with protocol analyzers and network simulators.
+ Familiar with demodulation and decoding algorithms for OFDM systems.
+ Experience with scripting languages such as Python
+ Experience with revision control systems, ideally GIT
+ Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
