Job Overview

The Qualcomm graphics system team is looking for talented software engineers interested in developing software for the next generation of graphics processors. The system software team is responsible for delivering device drivers and tools for prototyping, exploration, and verification of new features and proposals for next generation graphics processors. As a system software engineer, you will work closely with architecture, systems, hardware, verification, and the silicon team throughout the development life cycle of the graphics processor. This role will require you to cultivate a deep understanding of Qualcomms Adreno hardware architecture, and relevant graphics APIs. You will extensively use your knowledge of graphics, algorithms, computer architecture, and operating systems to provide solutions to effectively validate future generations of Adreno. A successful candidate will be exposed to ARM programming and graphics APIs such as Vulkan, Direct3D, and OpenGL.

Minimum Qualifications

C/C++ programming Problem solving and debugging skills

Experience with Direct3D/OpenGL/Vulkan/Ray tracing

Preferred Qualifications

1+ yr. of industry experience in a few of the following skills:

C/C++ programming Problem solving and debugging skills

Experience with Direct3D/OpenGL/Vulkan

Experience with Ray tracing

Experience with device driver development

Familiar with real-time computing graphics technology

Working experience on large scale system software

Comfortable working close to the hardware

Motivated engineer willing to take initiative and operate with minimum guidance

Education Requirements

Preferred: Master’s, Computer Science or equivalent experience

Preferred: Bachelor’s, Computer Science or equivalent experience
