**Job Overview** This individual will be a senior member and technical lead of the Engineering Compute Global Grid Services team, a geographically dispersed team responsible for engineering computing resource management systems and technologies throughout the enterprise. The teams responsibilities include global resource management solutions development and assuring service availability, optimization, maintenance, and standardization of grid-related services.


Satisfy complex and sometimes conflicting customer requirements by developing and implementing elegant resource management solutions for multiple resources types

Continuous optimization of engineering computing environments that results in improved utilization and service levels

Collaborate with frontline support teams by troubleshooting and resolving Tier 3 LSF and general DRM issues related to service availability, performance, and SLA compliance.

Escalate and participate in the troubleshooting of computing environment issues that may be contributing to impaired resource management services within the compute grid.

Interface with other Engineering Compute teams to drive follow-through of issue impacting resource management services around the world.

Participate in defining and documenting processes and SOPs

Assist in defining, documenting, and deploying global grid environment standards

Improve standards compliance in all computing environments by coordinating with site teams to implement grid standards

**Minimum Qualifications** -7 years of hands-on experience administering large-scale grid workload management system in large semiconductor design or similar environments

-3 years of experience leading a small team

-3 years of experience developing solutions for complex computing resource management requirements

**Preferred Qualifications** Thorough understanding and practical knowledge of high-performance computing environments and distributed resource management concepts and solutions, particularly within the EDA space

Deep knowledge of Grid best practices and expertise of configuration options, capabilities, limitations, troubleshooting and performance tuning

Ability to extract and leverage grid performance metrics for troubleshooting and optimizing computing environments

Proficiency in Perl and shell programming and debugging in Linux environments

Familiarity with Electronic Design Automation (EDA) and the semiconductor design process

Strong interpersonal and cross-cultural collaboration skills

Meticulous and detail-oriented

**Education Requirements** Bachelor’s, Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
