The Position and Leadership Opportunity

Kodiak Area Native Association seeks an experienced and collaborative Chief Financial Officer with an ability to sustain relationships.  The incoming leader will report to the Vice President of Administration and be a strategic partner to the executive leadership team.  The CFO oversees the fiscal and fiduciary responsibilities of the organization.  With annual revenue in excess of $51M and more than 100 active state and federal grants, KANA requires a CFO with excellent leadership qualities and demonstrated skills in the areas of complex revenue streams, financial and risk management, and budgetary oversight.

As a Kodiak-based leader, the CFO will supervise and partner with a team of 14 onsite and remote staff in the Finance and Revenue Cycle Departments.  The CFO will embrace KANA’s values and ensure that resources align to strategic vision while maintaining compliance, assessing economic development opportunities, recommending investment strategies and reporting the organization’s financial performance.  In addition to their strategic role with KANA, the CFO and the finance team support external KANA business activities as well as Kodiak area villages and Tribes.

Application Process

The annual salary range is between $180,000 – $225,000 commensurate with qualifications and experience. KANA provides generous benefits and relocation.
