**Job Overview** Member of Multimedia Power Architecture and Design Team contributing to system design, architecture, micro-architecture and physical design of HW IPs for low power. In this role, the individual will lead a small team responsible for the following aspects:
+ MM HW IPs use-case and peak power estimation at different design phases from pre-RTL to post-Silicon.
+ Evaluation, analysis and proposals to optimize use-case and peak power for existing and next generation HW IPs, providing multiple options trading off power, performance, area, cost, effort, complexity, etc.
+ Providing power targets and tracking team deliverables and targets to/from SoC, IP, systems, and SW teams at different phases of design
+ Documentation and presentation of power at different design milestones to higher management and to the customers
+ Participating and providing detailed feedback in IP design implementation reviews
+ Working closely with systems, software, and hardware teams to address SoC design/feature and data flow impacts to power for different use cases.
+ Analyzing front end and physical design to propose efficient physical design solutions to improve power, clock gating efficiency, operating voltage reduction, etc.
+ Analyzing and proposing solutions for reduce peak power and thermal issues at HW IP level

**Minimum Qualifications** **8+ years of industry exp. in :**
+ HW design and architecture with mobile platforms such as smartphones, laptops or tablets.
+ HW ASIC/SoC design and low power HW design
+ Power estimation, analysis, flows and tools at HW IP & use case level.
+ Methodologies and tools for HW physical design for low power
+ Digital design techniques for high speed and low power design
**Preferred Qualifications** **Additional skills in following areas:**
+ Tools for synthesis, formal verification and physical design
+ RTL design with coding experience in VHDL, Verilog, or System Verilog.
+ Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills
+ People skills with prior experience of project / team leadership.
**Education Requirements** Required: Master’s, Computer Engineering and/or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
Preferred: Doctorate, Computer Engineering and/or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
