This exciting and critical role will focus on exploring new security challenges presented by the adoption of IoT devices, 5G networks, and the new services they will create, and how to mitigate them. In this role you will primarily be involved in system design of security related features and services architectures and participation in SA3 which addresses security and privacy in 3GPP systems, to help determine the security and privacy requirements, and specifying the security architectures and protocols, for future wireless systems. In addition, you will work on System-on-chip (SoC) security to analyze and design against vulnerability to intentional and unintentional security attacks (malicious activities, information leakage, confidentiality attacks and integrity attacks). You will also have an opportunity to work in protocol system design in MAC, RLC, RRC, NAS, Data, IMS, and services layers for 4G and 5G technologies.

**Minimum Qualifications** PhD in Electrical engineering with concentration in network, software, or device security OR:

Master of Science in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science with at least 2-3 years of full-time professional work experience in two or more of the following areas:

Product security incident response in mobile, embedded device or automotive industry

Embedded platforms security (e.g., ARM TrustZone, smartcards)

Hardware / SoC security

Mobile platform security, such as Android

Applied Cryptography: encryption, authentication, and digital signature

Exploit mitigation techniques

**Preferred Qualifications** Knowledge of mobile hardware/system or embedded operating systems

Knowledge of security framework used in wireless communication systems like LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc.

Knowledge of IP-based secure protocols/standards (such as SSL/TLS, PKI, PKCS, OAuth, EST, CMP, etc.)

**Education Requirements** Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science.
