QCT NPI Operations Team is looking for Operations Program manager (OPM) in San Diego with a drive to self-succeed and ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. OPM will work cross-functionally with Engineers, Program Management, Business Operations, Product Marketing and other internal organizations as well as with multiple external suppliers in bringing Qualcomms leading-edge products to market in a timely manner. This role is a focal point in the organization for the management, coordination, execution and communication of all New Product Introduction (NPI) operations activities across various business units.
Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
-Assist the Chip PM in capturing development costs and cycle time schedules for product council review. Track the CT and costs throughout the development cycle and make changes as needed
-Work with Chip PM, Business Ops, PTE, Pckg in gathering demand requirements and develop a plan to meet this demand
-Identify hardware (probe/FT/SLT) requirements and work with PTE and Global capacity teams in securing both hardware and test capacity. Identify supply delivery risks to the proposed project plan and ensure these risks are documented.
-Create purchase requisitions, track PO approval status, monitor build progress, and communicate status back to the PM’s and Chip/Chipset teams.
-Track and expedite material & WIP at suppliers as needed to ensure the program deadlines are met
-Lead Operations meetings with Program Management and other engineering & business cross-functional teams to review the status of the program and coordinate seamless planning and execution with key stakeholders.
-Identify critical paths and propose potential recovery plans to the program. Communicate this to the core team along with proposed mitigation and contingency plans.
-Troubleshoot supply issues and help develop recovery plan where applicable
-Escalation to SCM management to be driven/tracked by OPM where a recovery solution cannot be determined at his/her level.
-Work with production teams in ensuring a smooth transition from NPI to production
-OPM will be single point of contact who maintains the ultimate responsibility/accountability for end-to-end supply line throughout NPI and until full CS Production handover. Has complete ownership of the programs supply schedule.

+ 5-7+ years related experience in Program management
+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Business
+ Experience in NPI Operations
+ Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
+ Experience in modeling capacity for multiple production processes in excel
+ Prior experience in the semiconductor industry
+ Strong analytical and critical thinking skills Strong decision making and comfort in making sound data based recommendations.
+ Self-starter with the ability to work with minimal supervision
+ Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain key collaborative relationships across multiple functional organizations and with suppliers
+ Excellent oral and written communication skills Prior experience in Program Management
Required: Associate’s, Business Administration and/or Electrical Engineering and/or Industrial & Prod Engineering and/or Materials Science or equivalent experience
