**Job Overview** Qualcomm is looking for several Power Amplifier Designers with thorough knowledge of IC design to join our Qualcomm Front-end Team(QFE) to participate in the development for emerging mobile wireless applications. Join this rapidly growing team to develop a highly integrated and innovative multi-mode/multi-band power amplifier in emerging worldwide wireless standards such as LTE, UMTS, WiMAX and WLAN. Responsibilities include IC design, system level analysis and using different architectures to deliver best-in-class high efficiency performance. Of particular importance will be designing the optimum products in terms of size, performance, and cost in a dynamic team environment with aggressive schedules.
– PA Front-End Module (FEM) design
– Switch IC and/or CMOS PA controller design
– Working with system simulation tools such as ADS, Genesys, and Matlab/Simulink, etc
– Proficient in use and programming of RF test equipment
– Use of load-pull characterization system

**Minimum Qualifications** Required:
At least intern or school project experience in the following:
– RFIC design experience
– Power Amplifier Design Experience
– Cadence design tools
**Preferred Qualifications** Preferred:
– Wireless communications experience
– CMOS Power Amp experience
**Education Requirements** Required: Master’s, Electrical Engineering
Preferred: Doctorate, Electrical Engineering
