Job Overview

Qualcomm’s Advanced Content & Gaming Group is seeking an experienced software engineer to work directly with Unity 3D and Unity content developers from around the world to drive engine level enhancements and optimizations for the Snapdragon platform. This is a unique opportunity to work with cutting-edge pre-commercial PC & Mobile devices and contribute to the future of mobile gaming, PC gaming and VR/AR technologies.

The Advanced Content & Gaming Group (ACG) is a fun, creative, and highly interactive team that supports all gaming and developer technologies related to our all our Snapdragon products. This is a key role for our in-house Game Studio and external developer activities, including developer tools, XR, and ISV outreach, along with many new emerging technologies.

Minimum Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.

+ 8+ years Software Engineering or related work experience.

+ 4+ years experience with Programming Language such as C, C++, Java, Python, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

**10+ years of professional experience:**

+ Expertise in C/C++ Experience working with Unity 3D

+ Solid 3D graphics related mathematics background

+ Expertise with DirectX OpenGL, or OpenGL ES

+ Experience developing, profiling, and optimizing modern rendering algorithms

+ Understanding of PC, console, and mobile game engine rendering pipelines

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills

+ Willingness to travel both domestic and internationally

+ Self-motivated

+ Knowledge of Android OS and Android application development

+ Experience using low-level graphics APIs such as Vulkan or DirectX 12

+ Familiarity with 3D graphics profilers and debuggers such as Snapdragon Profiler, RenderDoc, Pix, NSight

+ Comfortable working with unfamiliar, large multi-million-line code bases

Education Requirements

Required: A BS, MS, or PhD degree in an engineering or computer science related field.
