**Job Overview** To define, own, and drive software and platforms (a platform is a combination of several chips and several software and technology components) for the Voice and Music business unit.
+ Drive Qualcomm’s software development process, liaise across engineering and teams (esp Snapdragon, Core Audio, WiFi, Bluetooth, DSP), create Feature Requests and own Software Products within Focal Point; take the platform through any necessary stage-gate processes
+ Contribute to roadmaps for component development and delivery within Qualcomm platforms in the Voice & Music business unit
+ Ensure that Qualcomm platforms have clear requirements (coordinating with Product Marketing and Ecosystem Product Managers), and that engineering teams deliver on those requirements
+ Coordinate effort, input, and requirements (such as through Feature Requests on your SP) from colleagues working on the Ecosystems, Chips, or Technologies related to the platform
+ Contribute to product/platform/technology strategy within the BU and communicate outward, including to engineering
+ Conduct or coordinate competitive assessment as necessary for strategy, business cases, or product launch activities
+ Primary focus on our Snapdragon-based smartspeaker platforms, which include software and hardware components to deliver multi-room audio, voice control (e.g. Amazon, Google, etc), Wi-Fi/Bluetooth/BLE, audio DSP, etc.
+ Create platforms that deliver innovative solutions to customer problems, while striving to achieve strong ROI for Qualcomm and lasting differentiation in the market; build, document, communicate, and align the organization around the business case for your platforms
+ Manage product launch plans and coordinate across Qualcomm to launch products/platforms, including training, documentation, fight guides, etc.

**Minimum Qualifications** 5+ years in the following areas required:
+ Experience managing software and/or silicon developments or product roadmaps
+ Experience working with program management, product management/marketing and development teams on new products
+ Experience with Snapdragon chip architecture and development organization
+ Effective critical thinking to produce product business cases leading to successful products
+ Previous experience with audio products such as* Digital Signal Processing* Amplifiers and I/O including codecs* Audio system software and development kits* Networked audio* Voice User Interfaces and middleware
+ Experience developing consumer audio products
+ Prior product management/marketing experience
+ MBA or equivalent
+ Program management experience
+ Customer facing experience
**Education Requirements** Required: Bachelor’s, Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering or similar discipline
Preferred: Master’s, Business Administration and/or Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering or similar discipline
