The candidate will be working on the design of hybrid hardware/software systems dedicated to healthcare related applications, based on commercial mobile HLOS platforms, embedded OSs, and web-services technologies.
Roles and responsibilities:
Gather system level requirements for specific features or complete products; Generate the system level design; Design transaction flows, protocols, APIs and data models; Socialize the design with the stakeholders (including the Product, Development and Test teams) and incorporate their feedback; Perform technical risk analysis; Design security and privacy measures; Document the system design clearly and in a testable manner; Review related documentation from other teams (e.g., test plans); Engage with domain experts as needed; Hold formal reviews and obtain stakeholders sign off on the system design; Assist with troubleshooting field issues that relate to the system design; Work with representatives of applicable standard bodies; Contribute to QCLs IP portfolio.

**Minimum Qualifications** 5+ years experience in system level design work or related experience;
2+years experience designing/implementing wireless platforms
+1 years experience designing/implementing web services based platforms;
**Preferred Qualifications** Experience in the design of IoT platforms and related protocols;
Experience working with Cloud solutions;
Experience with any of the following: Agile development methodologies, medical/healthcare related project, security and privacy paradigms; enabling algorithms and technologies for IOT security at the edge;
Experience with one or more of the following technologies: Bluetooth/BLE, Wi-Fi, cellular 3G/4G/5G and HLOS support for these technologies,
Experience with REST-based web services, data representation and compression technologies for web services
Experience with IoT platforms, device management and firmware updates, operational troubleshooting methodologies and system monitoring frameworks for highly available (mission-critical) systems
Experience with performance modeling and evaluation techniques and tools
Experience with developing healthcare algorithms based on machine learning techniques
Excellent writing skills and strong verbal/presentation skills;
Ability to work effectively with multiple teams, in and out of the division, with the teams located in diverse geographies and time zones;
**Education Requirements** Required: Bachelor’s, Computer Engineering and/or Computer Networks & Systems and/or Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering and/or Information Technology or equivalent experience
Preferred: Master’s, Computer Engineering and/or Computer Networks & Systems and/or Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering and/or Information Technology or equivalent experience
