**Job Description:**

**Basic Purpose-**

The Regional CI Leader will demonstrate leadership in CI communicating business goals, programs, and processes for the West Region, which includes AZ, CA, CO, NM, NV, UT and WA. In this role, you will utilize your experience and Black Belt expertise to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and direct reports, and affect short-term and some long-term business goals through leadership of multiple projects, workstreams, and partnership with each Market/Distribution Center via CI tools.



+ Provide leadership and direction to cross-functional teams empowered to execute the Process Improvement strategy for efficiency, ease of doing business and overall cost savings.
+ Deliver breakthrough levels of improvement in process capability and process efficiency with a focus on EASY
+ Lead cross-functional teams driving designs and business processes to reduce defects and attain world-class levels of quality
+ Facilitate, train, and coach team members in the use of CI tools (TQM, TPS, Lean, Six Sigma, VSM, etc.)
+ Work with RVPOs and local teams to uncover and assess CI opportunities for US Foods and its partners
+ In conjunction with the Regional Leadership Team, leaders of CI, and Project Sponsors, serve as a change agent in institutionalizing CI, ease of doing business, 6S, and quality.
+ Constantly seek, share, and implement best practices
+ Apply CI tools to improve process capability and eliminate defects and waste
+ Lead and facilitate cross-functional project teams
+ Communicate teams’ progress to Champions, Business Leaders and Executives
+ Identify potential CI projects whenever and wherever possible
+ Influence without authority
+ Ability to manage individuals and teams remotely

Education/Training **:**

+ A minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college required
+ Black Belt from a company or recognized industry-leading program required

Related Experience/Requirements:

+ Minimum of 8 years of management experience with direct reports in operations, manufacturing, distribution or supply chain
+ Minimum of 5 years of recent experience in a Continuous Improvement (CI) position required
+ Ability to travel a minimum 80% regionally (road warrior) required
+ Foodservice distribution strongly preferred
+ Prior consulting experience strongly preferred
