**Job Description:**

**Basic Purpose-**

The Manager, Regional Route Optimization and Analysis will identify key routing opportunities and develop, implement and manage initiatives/plans to drive the success of routing efficiency for customers and operating divisions.

**Description-**

Identifies key opportunities to leverage logistical efficiencies in the broader supply-chain operation defining the metrics and then the implementation of routing analytics and data maintenance by working with divisional routing and transportation management teams.

Develops forward-thinking, routing initiatives to boost efficiency/effectiveness within supply-chain, implementing and managing project work through utilization of customer delivery systems (Roadnet, Territory Planner, and Scientific-Logistics) with a focus on routing optimization and territory planning.

Defining, developing, and managing policies and procedures, process flows and tools to boost the effectiveness of operations within customer delivery transportation, resulting in greater efficiencies across all regions and divisions.

Streamlines the reporting and analysis of routing and customer delivery data through core competencies and tools/methods to identify opportunities, create forecast models and measure metrics across target areas working.

Interfaces across diverse, cross-functional teams to establish and boost alignment and synergy, gaining buy-in from stakeholders and leading the implementation of initiatives within the routing and transportation function at the division.

Develop and present presentations outlining proposed strategy initiatives across USF, up to and including the executive level.

**Qualifications-**

*Education/Training:* Bachelors degree in business, supply chain, project management or similar experience required; Graduate degree preferred

*Related Experience:* Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in routing or transportation management experience, with a focus on implementation and strategy development; project management experience preferred; experience working within a distribution environment highly valued

*Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:* Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Word, MS Project and a mapping tool (i.e., Map Point); prior experience utilizing customer routing packages (i.e. Roadnet, Descartes) and optimization tools (i.e. Territory Planner, Sci-Log), and experience utilizing a transportation management system preferred
