**Job Overview** Join the Processor Research Team, part of Qualcomm Research, focusing on exploring and prototyping novel circuit, architecture, and system techniques to improve the performance, power, and competitiveness of Qualcomm processors.
We’re looking for a computer architect with emphasis in high-performance CPUs. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in high-performance processor architecture R&D, including: all aspects of out-of-order core design, from instruction fetch through retire, and all manners of prediction/speculation; a deep understanding of instruction-level, data-level, and thread-level parallelism; performance modeling; and RTL and physical design.

+ Experience with CPUs, including advanced high-performance microarchitecture for processors and cache-coherent memory systems
+ Academic literature on high-performance processor microarchitecture, and the trends affecting processor design for leading-edge CMOS process nodes
+ Modeling hardware in C/C+ **Preferred Qualifications**
+ RTL design in Verilog or SystemVerilog targeting high-frequency pipelined designs
+ Scripting languages
+ Compilers and compiler optimization techniques
+ Operating systems, including interrupts, drivers, and process scheduling
+ Multithreaded and multi-process programming
+ Software performance analysis and optimization
**Education Requirements** Required: Master’s, Electrical Engineering
Preferred: Doctorate, Electrical Engineering
