Qualcomm’s RF Systems team is in search of senior industry professionals to develop radio systems for mobile applications (LTE, TD-SCDMA, UMTS, CDMA) from concept phase to customer sampling. This job entails specifying the ASICs comprising the radio, working closely with the RFIC and SW teams, and performing analyses of RF performance using Matlab, spreadsheets, and other tools. Key responsibilities include developing radio ASIC specifications, system algorithms, and lab integration of HW/SW/FW along with sustaining efforts for radios already in production. Candidate must be comfortable presenting to technical audiences and able to write technical reports.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
2+ years Systems Engineering or related work experience.
+ Radio theory of operation.
+ Behavioral modeling for LTE systems.
+ Co-existence management across multiple technologies.
+ PA system design and efficiency enhancement techniques.
+ Knowledge of 3GPP standards
+ Experience with mobile standards test equipment.
+ Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Master’s or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or Computer Science required.
