The primary purpose of this position is to balance sheet account reconciliations, compilation and posting of month-end journal entries, and other accounting activities in support of Corporate Office financial activities.
Work closely with IT on system issues related to assigned accounts.
Provide functional advice or training to less-experienced accountant positions.
Reconcile complex balance sheet accounts, and investigate/resolve variances within deadlines.
Compile and/or post journal entries in support of period end close activities for corporate office.
Develop and maintain databases to support and facilitate accounting and reconciliation activities.
Prepare weekly/monthly analysis in support of assigned accounts.
Assist Corporate Accounting department with projects, research, and system related tasks as assigned.
Compile and provide audit support as requested by internal and external auditors.

*Education/Training:* Bachelor degree in accounting, business management or finance required. CPA Preferred
*Related Experience:* Five or more years general ledger accounting with strong financial analysis experience required.
*Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:* Experience with complex balance sheet reconciliation is required. Must have a solid background and broad knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and procedures for the completion of recurring and complex tasks/assignments. Work with minimum supervision, conferring with manager or others on more complex matters.
