**Job Overview** As a member of the Bay Area Engineering IT team, you will be expected to provide operational support for many world-class engineering infrastructure systems. These environments span the globe which are designed with a diverse set of requirements from internal engineering departments. Strong Linux and Windows system administration skills constitute the core competencies of this role. Development of solutions, scripts and/or processes to automate the management and operations of these specific environments, services, tools and servers are required for long-term success. This role includes Tier 2 IT engineering services support, ticket queue management, and phone support. You will be working closely with the Hardware and Software Engineering design communities as well as IT peers. Building strong relationships with multiple global business partners will be key your success. Interrupt driven situations that encompass various levels of urgency will provide exciting challenges in this role. Provide Tier 2 support for our supported lines of businesses.
Provide Tier 2 support for legacy acquisition HW/SW environments with a long-term plan/vision to transition/deprecate the environment over time through a strong partnership with customers.
Analysis of IT workflows and implementation of automation processes to improve IT efficiency.

**Minimum Qualifications** 5-6 years experience in IT as a Linux/Windows System Administrator/Engineer, including hands on work with the following areas:
Cisco, SW/HW Tools, CAD, Networking, UNIX/LINUX/Solaris System Administration, SUSE/RedHat/RHEL/Ubuntu, Windows Administration, LSF, Hardware Design, Data Center Management, Global Perspective, Operations, Information Security, EDA, JIRA, Confluence, Android, Scripting (PERL/BASH).
**Preferred Qualifications** Presentation skills a plus
Excellent customer service skills
Manage multiple concurrent projects and operational tasks with strong communication, written, customer service and organizational skills
**Education Requirements** Preferred: Bachelor’s, Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering and/or Information Technology or equivalent experience
Preferred: Certifications (Cisco, Solaris, MSFT, etc)
