In this role you will be responsible for .
+ Create, verify, and revise layout of custom analog IP designs in advanced nodes for modem and Snapdragon processors
+ Quickly learn and assist in development of advanced node process kits for use in custom analog design
+ Proactively and independently solve complex design and PDK issues; clearly communicate solutions to the layout and engineering teams
+ Engage with the engineering design team to understand design concepts, constraints, and milestones
+ Collaborate with Mask Layout Designers at Qualcomm remote sites such as India and/or Ireland
+ Demonstrate effective communication and teamwork; work efficiently as part of an international team
+ Lead a layout team to develop successful, on time, custom mask layout for individual functional IPs.
+ Develop layout project schedules to meet milestones; track schedules
+ Concisely and accurately report design status to the engineering team
+ Mentor and train junior layout designers as needed
+ Follow, enhance, and/or define layout methodology; collaborate to adjust methodology as our design kits and procedures evolve
+ Continually strive to broaden skillset to serve our design community with evolving information from CAD and process teams

+ 5+ years of experience creating custom layout at chip, block, and device levels
+ Proficiency with Virtuoso XL schematic driven layout design flow and Mentor Graphic verification suites
+ Custom analog layout experience should include critical circuit designs such as DAC, ADC, BBRX, PLL, or LDO
+ Demonstrated leadership of a layout design team in an advanced node environment
+ Previous experience with data management tools
+ Strong analytical and debugging skills
+ Strong organizational and team work skills in an advanced node environment
+ Strong written and oral communication skills to work with people in different time zone and locations.
+ Recent experience in advanced nodes; Finfet 7nm, 10nm, and 14nm
+ Recent experience with Calibre RVE and Virtuoso IC18.x or IC12
+ Recent experience with Synchronicity or other distributed, version controlled design environment
+ Recent experience with automated placement and routing tools
+ Recent experience with Apache Totem
+ Advanced node fabrication knowledge is a plus
Required: Associate’s or equivalent experience
Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science
