**Job Overview** The Automotive business within Qualcomm is a fast-growing area covering automotive factory fit and aftermarket segments. As a Product Manager, you will be responsible for managing connectivity products within the Automotive business segment. You will support the development and execution of the Business Unit’s long range strategy and product plans. The position will require close contacts with worldwide Qualcomm sales & regional marketing teams and support of the global business development efforts at major accounts and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Owning assigned automotive Wi-Fi & DSRC hardware and/or software product lines

+ Engaging with Automotive OEMs and various internal technical teams to help define customer requirements

+ Generating & maintaining marketing and product requirements documents for system (hardware and software) deliverables

+ Interfacing with program management to ensure that key feature milestones are met

+ Performing business case analysis and providing strategic and financial justification for key decisions impacting the Automotive connectivity portfolio

+ Creating and conducting compelling product presentations for Automotive OEMs and their associated Tier 1 suppliers for the communication of Qualcomm’s Automotive features and roadmap

+ Reporting to automotive business unit management & other internal stakeholders on automotive Wi-Fi & DSRC market status & trends, roadmap execution, design wins and strategic targets

**Minimum Qualifications** 10+ years of experience in leadership, organization, communications and decision-making within highly technical enterprise environment required.

Additionally, this role requires a minimum of 3 years in the following areas:

+ Product Management experience, including product management of high-volume wireless semiconductor and SOC products

+ Experience with application processors / embedded processors (e.g. ARM, Xscale, MiPs) or SOCs.

+ Experience as a developer in either HW, IC’s, SW or systems engineering.

+ Program Management processes and procedures

+ Effective Technical, financial, and business skills

+ Software or Hardware engineering background

+ Comfort with speaking with internal and external customers at all levels (engineering, sales, marketing, senior management)

+ Effective communication, organization, and presentation skills

+ Effective problem solving and decision-making skills

+ Ability to work across cross-cultural, cross-geography, and multi-disciplinary teams, i.e., sales, operations, marketing, engineering, and finance

+ Automotive industry related experience

+ Track record in managing a product line and demonstrating growth in market share and revenues

+ Demonstrated ability to create effective marketing presentations

+ Ability to work effectively independently and within a team environment

+ Proven persuasion/negotiation skills

+ Ability to travel when required (domestic and internationally)

**Education Requirements** Required: Bachelor’s, Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering

Preferred: Master’s, Business Administration and/or Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering
