**Job Overview** Qualcomms SoC Architecture team of hardware architects and systems engineers are driving analysis and defining next-generation architectures for our system-on-chip (SoC) products for the smartphone, tablet, automotive and other product categories. We have an exciting technical position available with a focus on SoC architecture analysis.
The successful candidate will collaboratively with HW design, SW and validation teams and across the multi-site architecture team to:
+ Architect market-leading mobile SoC products with best-in-class performance and power;
+ Conduct hands-on performance, power, and/or thermal studies to help define our SoC architecture plans;
+ Collaborate with HW and SW teams to define best-in-class multimedia, modem, compute and memory technologies;
+ Deploy simulators, profilers, or even real hardware to provide quantitative justification for architectural directions;
+ Effectively communicate experimental results, review with technical leads and peers, analyze outstanding issues;
+ Creatively overcome obstacles to obtain the answers to architectural questions;
+ Invent and file patents on technical solutions to relevant problems

**Minimum Qualifications** **3 – 5 yrs. of industry exp. in:**
+ Computer architecture concepts, such as CPU, GPU, DSP, interconnects, shared memory, etc.
+ OS principles and HW/SW interaction
+ SoC bus, interconnect and memory technologies
+ Hands-on experience in using and modifying simulators and performance/power models, especially full-system models
+ C/C++/SystemC programming
+ Experience in using code and/or system profiling tools
+ Familiarity with Multimedia and/or Machine learning technology a plus
+ Familiarity with Automotive Infotainment and/or Advance Driver Assistance Systems a plus
+ Experience in VLSI design and verification a plus
+ Excellent communication and presentation skills
+ Pragmatic scripting & automation skills.
**Education Requirements** Required: Master’s, Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering
Preferred: Doctorate, Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering
