**Job Overview** QCT System Architecture is looking for an SoC Systems Architect covering all current and future product lines, including smartphones, tablets, automotive, drones, wearables and IoT. Qualcomm’s Chip Architecture multi-site team of hardware and software architects and systems engineers are driving analysis and defining next-generation SoC architectures. The team helps defines the overall chip architecture, including but not limited to bus structure, performance/power/thermal analysis, boot flow, power management, use-case definitions, security infrastructure, and multimedia control/data flows. **Responsibilities:**
+ Analysis of product requirements and development of architectural specifications and requirements
+ Owner of end-to-end product use-cases
+ Analysis of performance, power and thermal aspects of products including use-cases such as Virtual/Augmented Reality, Machine Learning, and Computer Vision
+ Work with product marketing and customers on tradeoffs and product feature feasibility
+ Work with chipset architecture team on I/Os, interfaces and overall solution
+ Work with bus/infrastructure, boot, security and power teams on architectural solutions
+ Work on overall multimedia, modem and other control/data flows
+ Understanding of SW architecture and impact on performance & power

**Minimum Qualifications** **2+ years of industry experience in:**
+ Computer architecture concepts, such as CPU, GPU, DSP, interconnects, shared memory, etc.
+ OS principles and HW/SW interaction
+ VLSI design and verification
+ SoC bus, interconnect and memory technologies
+ Hands-on experience in using and modifying simulators and performance/power models
+ Excellent communication and presentation skills
+ Experience with any of the following is highly valued: ARM, Linux, GPGPU, OpenCL, OpenGL
+ Familiarity with multimedia or communication technologies including: video codec, camera, WLAN, LTE, audio codec, Virtual/Augmented Reality, Machine Learning, Computer Vision, Compute
+ C/C++/SystemC programming
**Education Requirements** Required: Bachelor’s, Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering
Preferred: Master’s, Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science and/or Electrical Engineering
