The Qualcomm Global CAD team is currently seeking an experienced SoC Implementation CAD Engineer to define and develop new tools and methodologies that are targeted at Power, Performance, Area (PPA) optimization, shortening design cycle time, speeding time to market by ensuring design reproducibility, measuring quality indicators, and improving team productivity.
This roles responsibilities will include:
+ Improve the existing SoC Implementation methodology and develop tools or scripts for efficiency and quality improvements
+ Drive Next generation Implementation tools for diverse SoC implementation for Mobile, Compute, AI, IoT chips
+ Collaborate with core and SoC design team to have a scalable solution for Floorplanning, multi-die planning, Synthesis, Place-and-Route, Sign-off
+ Drive and develop scalable end-to-end automation solutions for System to RTL to gate-level optimizations
+ Provide technical guidance to junior team members
+ Interfacing with EDA vendors to enable production-ready tool sets that satisfy projects requirement
+ Drive the deployment of CAD automation solutions to multi-tier chip design projects and execute, deliver and support project goals in a timely manner

+ Bachelor’s degree in Science, Engineering, or related field.
+ 8+ years ASIC design, verification, or related work experience.
+ 10-15+ years of relevant experience. Project lead experience preferred
+ Strong SW skills and understanding the challenges in a complex SoC design environment preferred
+ Strong SoC Implementation knowledge with RTL to GDS Implementation, LEC, Sign-off and understand the challenges in latest process node implementation
+ Extensive experience in Implementation tool optimization algorithms, PPA methodologies, Analog-digital co-design flows
+ Hands on experience in EDA tools and flows development and execution for large SoCs and signoff with coverage metrics
+ Hands on expertise in development of developing and maintaining large EDA software
+ Knowledge of Industry EDA tools and process technology analysis and optimization techniques
+ Vast experience in tool development using C++, python, java script, perl, tcl etc
+ Strong logical and creative problem-solving skills with excellent analytical and debugging skills
+ Excellent interpersonal and analytical skills with the ability to work independently
+ Highly motivated, excellent team spirit, product and customer oriented
Required: Master’s, Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science
Preferred: Ph.D., Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science
