Qualcomm is looking for an experienced Systems Engineer of user interfaces (e.g. Touch, Stylus, Fingerprint, etc.) who has an exceptional track record of developing and implementing in production innovative user interface solutions. **Responsibilities:** Overall ownership of the design of an innovative User Interface sensor. Responsible for electro-mechano-acoustics design of user interface sensors through development and into production. This will include understanding of the device physics and tradeoffs of an electro-mechano-acoustical system, design of ultrasonic transducers and receivers, developing equivalent electrical circuits, system interaction between sensor, backplane and drive electronics. **Minimum Qualifications** **Industry experience in one or more of the following areas:**
+ Device physics, device process, device characterization, and systems
+ Development of electro-mechanical-acoustical systems or ultrasonic sensors and actuators
+ Design of ultrasonic receivers and transmitters or medical ultrasounds systems or ultrasonic non-destructive testing
+ Acoustic beam focusing, phased arrays, beamforming
+ Piezoelectric materials and ultrasonic material properties measurements
+ Familiarity with acoustic analysis tools (ANSYS, COMSOL, PZFlex, KLM models) and engineering tools like MATLAB, JMP, or similar
+ Experience with biometric sensors
+ Proficiency in image processing and biometric algorithms
+ Proficient with electrical and acoustic test equipment and experience with test automation
+ Experience with design verification and validation
+ Ability to work in dynamic environment with cross-disciplinary teams across the organization and locations around the work
+ Understanding of TFT device physics
**Education Requirements** Required: Master’s, Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or Applied Physics
Preferred: Doctorate, Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering or Applied Physics
