Scope of Work:
The Warehouse Specialist performs a variety of warehousing duties that require an understanding of the establishment’s storage plan.
Responsibilities:
Verify materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents, noting and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages.
Route materials to prescribed storage locations.
Store, stack, or palletize materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods.
Rearrange and take inventory of stored materials.
Examine stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage.
Remove material from storage and prepare it for shipment.
Operate appropriate equipment including a forklift, pallet jack, hand truck, cart, delivery truck, and office machines.
Maintain accurate records.
Maintain the warehouse in a clean, safe and orderly manner.
Adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety regulations.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Must have a minimum of four (4) years related experience and/or formal vocational/technical training in warehouse operations.
Each complete year of accredited college education in a related field may be substituted for the equivalent number of years of required experience.
Must have data entry skills and experience using current computer software applications.
Must be able to operate appropriate equipment including computer and forklift.
Must be able to successfully complete a National Agency Check with Inquiries (Tier 1) background check.
Must be able to perform simple arithmetic computations.
Must be able to work alternate shift schedules when necessary to meet the customer’s mission requirements, including weekends and holidays.
Must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license and a safe driving record, in accordance with company policy, to operate vehicles or equipment as required for the position.
Physical Demands / Work Environment:
Physical requirements include (but are not limited to) the ability to lift up to 75 pounds, pushing, pulling, carrying, stooping, bending, squatting, and reaching for long periods of time.
Must be able to work on-call, alternate, and extended shift schedules when necessary to meet the mission requirements, including weekends and holidays.
Work may be performed indoors or outdoors in varying weather conditions. Must be able to work in confined spaces, at heights, and around various hazards with appropriate PPE.
All candidates must successfully complete pre-employment screening, which may include but is not limited to a criminal background check, motor vehicle record review, and a 5-panel drug test, in accordance with company policy and applicable laws.
