We are seeking a motivated and energetic individual to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong renewable energy knowledge and skills.
Position Summary: The candidate will manage the San Pasqual Climate Pollution Reduction Grant project and the overall development of the renewable energy program.
Job Duties and Responsibilities

Leading the development of community energy strategies, considering, among other things, energy conservation, building electrification, onsite energy generation and storage, district energy, microgrids, infrastructure resilience, and monitoring and control systems.

Ensuring compliance with all applicable federal funding requirements

Grant Reporting & budget management

Coordination with prime awardee: La Jolla Band of Indians

Create, maintain, and update documents and data related to renewable energy contracts

Obtaining bids and developing contracts, creating cost estimates for projects

Identifying new energy projects and ways to improve infrastructure

Conducting renewable energy project planning and feasibility studies

Analyze renewable energy financial & operational project performance

Track project progress through development and construction milestones and track against schedule

Managing projects to completion by coordinating with contractors

Working on-site, overseeing construction operations

Collaborating with engineering or construction teams to look for solutions

Grant writing, strategic planning, & project coordination

Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

Proven experience in the field.

Strong leadership capabilities to guide project teams effectively.

Experience managing a portfolio of renewable energy contracts

Experience analyzing and interpreting energy generation data, virtual PPAs, green tariffs, and wholesale energy market data

Some office and accounting experience

Grant and project management experience

Renewable energy market and energy regulations knowledge

Solar power photovoltaics, Battery Electric Storage Systems, wind power generation

Energy planning and engineering

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written

Project management experience

GIS mapping

Grant writing

Rebate and tax incentive programs

Personnel management
Environmental Conditions:
Exposure to office conditions, controlled temperatures, and artificial lighting. Exposure to working outside.
Physical Conditions:
Essential and marginal functions require maintaining physical condition, including standing, walking, climbing stairs, using step stools, bending, stooping, reading, typing, and sitting for prolonged periods.
Preferred:
