Position Summary:
Responsible for designing and implementing the property’s overall recruitment strategy. Lead the full recruitment cycle and ensure that staffing requirements are met. Responsibilities must be performed in accordance with all Gun Lake Casino Unsurpassed Service Standards, policies and procedures.
Duties & Responsibilities:
 Responsible for practicing, supporting and promoting Gun Lake Casino’s Unsurpassed Service Standards at all times.
 Greet all Guests who come into the Employment Center in a professional manner.
 Understand the entire employment process and all applicable employment laws and application of the Tribal Preference Policy.
 Partner with hiring managers and directors to understand business needs and develop talent pipelines via relational recruitment tactics and proactive sourcing.
 Coaching and developing the recruitment team through day-to-day needs as well as long-term developmental areas.
 Responsible for continuous development, management, and compliance of Gun Lake Tribe and Gun Lake Casino’s recruiting strategies, policies and procedures.
 Ensure accuracy and presentation of posted job descriptions on websites, newspapers and/or other media.
 Create talent acquisition strategies (internal and external) to achieve the most appropriate sourcing, evaluation and selection of the most qualified and diverse talent.
 Provide leadership and direction for college recruiting and internship programs. Oversee the program’s coordination, promotion and execution.
 Innovate sourcing strategies including, direct networking, internet mining, and advanced internet research to provide marketplace intelligence and identify and attract top talent.
 Update, develop and implement recruitment strategies, tactics, pipelines and procedures.
 Manage the Applicant Tracking System and all communications flow between the Recruitment Team, Managers, Directors and the candidates.
 Track & report recruitment timing, cost and trends through continuous development of HRIS reporting and analyzing quantitative data.
 Manage job fairs, open interviews and other career events.
 Responsible for knowing and understanding all recruitment policies & procedures and maintain the ability to step in and assist as needed.
 Attend manager meetings and huddles to communicate employment related information.
Essential Qualifications:
 Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business or relevant field required.
 THRP/SPHR/PHR Certification Preferred.
 Seven plus (7+) years of combined HR and professional recruiting experience required for a property that comprises of at least 750 team members.
 Five plus (5+) years of full life-cycle recruiting experience required.
 Strong knowledge of recruitment practices, metrics and guidelines.
 Proficiency in Excel, Power Point, Word and Outlook applications is required.
 Extremely detail oriented – must possess strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
 Demonstrated ability to prioritize and problem solve effectively in order to complete projects within deadlines.
 Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form.
 Proven experience in sourcing/screening active and passive candidates.
 Demonstrated ability to deliver results and effectively manage and prioritize multiple sourcing projects and candidates in a fast pace environment.
 Adaptability & openness to learning and incorporating new recruiting strategies, tactics and processes.
 Prior experience working within a team environment is required.
 Must be at least 21 years of age.
Physical Requirements:
 Requires normal, corrective vision range, the ability to see color and the ability to distinguish letters, numbers and symbols.
 Ability to sit, walk and stand for the duration of the shift.
 Manual dexterity to operate job related equipment.
Work Conditions:
Work is typically in an office environment. Tasks may be performed from a sitting or non-sitting position in a confined area. Performance of job duties will require standing, walking, lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling and grasping. These tasks include the
maintenance and care of assigned area. Constant contact with fellow Team Members and Guests.
