San Diego Archaeological Center The San Diego Archaeological Center is a nonprofit museum and archaeological repository where visitors can learn about the past 12,000 years. Founded in 1993, the Center was the first private nonprofit dedicated to the care, management, and use of archaeological collections. OOur mission is to promote the importance of cultural resources through education and preserve them in partnership with Tribal and other communities.
