Qualcomm delivers world class products in mobile SOCs, automotive telematics and cockpits, AI accelerators, WIFI, voice and music, and industrial IOT.The Design Technology organization within Qualcomm works hand in hand with the SOC design teams to develop new methodologies to optimize our products for performance, power, and yield, sign off SOCs for timing and thermal performance, evaluate and enable new process technologies, and develop test chips and process monitors to evaluate and track silicon performance.
In this position, the candidate will engage with new process technologies to support the adaptive voltage scaling infrastructure, including evaluation of power and performance scaling from the technologies. The candidate will perform pre-silicon analysis to recommend sensor usage for a technology and SOC, and post-silicon analysis to evaluate results on new product introduction. The candidate will participate In developing and improving methodologies and circuits related to adaptive voltage scaling, aging margins and performance, and post-silicon process evaluation.
The ideal candidate would possess the following qualifications.
+ Experience with advanced technology nodes
+ SPICE Simulation
+ In depth technical knowledge of CMOS FinFET logic and transistor-level design is preferred
+ Scripting in Python, TCL, Perl for data gathering and analysis
+ Familiarity with standard library views, such as liberty and LEF
+ Familiarity with Primetime STA analysis and timing analysis methodologies
+ Familiarity with SOC design flows and design methodologies is a plus
+ Capable of interacting with design and test engineering teams to gather data, present analysis results, and guide sensor usage
+ Frequently transports between offices, buildings, and campuses up to ½ mile.
+ Frequently transports and installs equipment up to 5 lbs.
+ Performs required tasks at various heights (e.g., standing or sitting).
+ Monitors and utilizes computers and test equipment for more than 6 hours a day.
+ Continuous communication which includes the comprehension of information with colleagues, customers, and vendors both in person and remotely.
Bachelors – Engineering, Bachelors – Science
5+ years ASIC design, verification, or related work experience.
Bachelors – Computer Engineering, Bachelors – Computer Science, Bachelors – Electrical Engineering, Doctorate, Masters
