Monitors the implementation and the enforcement of the Injury/Illness Prevention Program
Ensure all company locations and jobsite are in compliance with OSHA and environmental requirements.
Performs on-site safety requirements when necessary.
Identifies violations of safe practice code and confers with branch management on methods to correct deficiencies.
Assist superintendents in checking jobs, on a quality control basis ensuring correct installation procedures are being followed.
Performs accident investigations.
Conducts job site inspections, yard inspections and vehicle inspections.
Attend training seminars to increase knowledge of safety regulations.
May perform air monitoring in confined work spaces, confined space rescue monitoring, noise monitoring.
Conducts safety training and meetings, as necessary.
Oversee equipment maintenance as it relates to safety.
Certify drivers and equipment operations.
Assist with the monitoring of DOT program.
Abides by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies and ensures that hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.

Minimum 3 year’s commercial construction safety experience; or equivalent years of education; or combination of work experience and education.
OSHA 30 certificate.
Must be willing to spend time in the field or have interest in learning the trades.
Have computer knowledge, including the use of excel, word and other applicable programs.
Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills plus the ability to interact and communicate with all levels of employees.
Must be able to effectively present information to groups of employees.
Knowledge of requirements for certification in forklift operation, rough terrain, mobile platform, confined space, fall protection, emergency response, and respirator fit testing.
Thorough knowledge of Injury/Illness Prevention Programs, OSHA, and any other federal and state safety codes and law pertinent to the health and safety of the organization and its employees.
Knowledge of transportation and vehicle code rules and regulations.
Regular attendance is required.
Valid CA Driver’s License
