GENERAL SUMMARY

In this position you will join the team responsible for the security architecture of Qualcomm Snapdragon processors designed for the Auto market. The team works at a system level spanning across hardware, software and infrastructure while striving for industry-leading solutions. This team interacts with product management, customers (e.g., OEMs), partners, HW/SW engineering and Services engineering teams to find the optimal Security solution for the Auto market. Snapdragon processors are used in different types of devices ranging from mobile phones to televisions to ultra book laptops, autos and IoT devices each of which have their own security requirements. Snapdragon processors are designed to meet most of these requirements thus work covers most types of security found in consumer electronics ranging from content protection to enterprise security to factory key provisioning issues to virtualization.

Responsibilities:

+ Develop a HW Security Architecture designed to meet requirements for the Auto market, including Infotainment, Telematics and ADAS use cases

+ Create a Security Architecture meeting requirements from OEMs and Auto manufacturers

+ Perform analysis of existing Automotive hardware architecture for security vulnerabilities

+ Provide competitive analysis of Automotive hardware security architecture, system, and features

Requirements:

MS Degree preferred or minimum BS degree with at least 7+ years industry experience required in one or more of the following areas

+ HW threat analysis, security analysis, risk analysis

+ Cryptography and protocols using cryptography, design of HW/SW security blocks and modules such as HW cryptographic engines and hardware security modules

+ Experience with transport protocol and HW implementations

+ Experience with NVM countermeasures and implementations

+ Security and Safety Standards and Certification Process and Requirements, FIPS, ASIL, Common Criteria

+ Embedded HW Architecture for SoC subsystem for Mobile or Auto projects

Additional skills in the following areas are a plus:

+ ARM TrustZone, SoC security

+ Experience with road-vehicle cybersecurity standards and regulations, e.g., ISO/SAE 21434, UNECE WP.29

+ Leadership & management background at a project level

Physical Requirements

• Frequently transports between offices, buildings, and campuses up to ½ mile.

• Frequently transports and installs equipment up to 5 lbs.

• Performs required tasks at various heights (e.g., standing or sitting).

• Monitors and utilizes computers and test equipment for more than 6 hours a day.

• Continuous communication which includes the comprehension of information with colleagues, customers, and vendors both in person and remotely.

7+ years of Systems engineering or related work experience.

12+ years Systems Engineering or related work experience. ,3+ years experience with Development Environment Software such as Apache Maven, Ruby, etc. ,3+ years experience with Database Management Software. ,3+ years experience working in a large matrixed organization. ,3+ years experience with Testing Software such as Bugzilla, LoadRunner, etc. ,2+ years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Director level and above) ,2+ years supervisory experience. ,1+ years in a technical leadership role with or without direct reports.
