MCI (Mobile, Compute and Infrastructure) Business Operations is responsible for managing the overall operations for our business unit including demand management, supply/demand, NPI, sustaining lifecycle management and reporting/analytics.
The QCT Business Operations Team for MCI is looking for a Staff level Business Operations Analyst in San Diego with a strong background in sustaining lifecycle management, PCN management, quality and inventory control, customer exception management and analytics for sustaining operations. This role is a focal point in the organization for the management, coordination, execution, and communication of sustaining Product Lifecycle activities for the MCI Business Unit. This person will work closely with Product Marketing, Regional Sales and Customer Service, Program Management, Supply Chain Management, Sales Operations Forecast Group, Quality, Operations, Customer Engineering and other QCT organizations to perform a full range of activities in support of the sustaining Product Lifecycle all the way through End of Life (EOL).
This role will support sustaining activities which may include playing a pivotal role in process change notifications (PCNs), collaborating with customer support teams to understand the impact of “Hardware Changes” and/or “Lifecycle Changes” to customers and drive a risk mitigated external Plan of Record (POR). Additional responsibilities include:
+ Driving and tracking customer acceptance of product changes and managing demand
+ Work closely with customer quality, product quality and supply chain regarding quality alerts/issues and understand the impact of the issue to commits/shipments. Also, will be a key participant in strategic risk mitigation discussions regarding quality alerts/issues
+ Drive lifecycle changes through the understanding of the market climate to recommend and drive End of Life activities. This includes proposing a lifecycle change POR, gaining Business Unit approvals, executing the external communication and coordinating the internal closure of the device.
+ Drive improved reporting by working in partnership with manager and key stakeholders, this role will help to streamline essential reporting and dashboards to drive data driven recommendations
+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Finance, Technical, Marketing, or related field and 5+ years business operations or related experience.
+ Associate’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Finance, Technical, Marketing, or related field and 7+ years business operations or related experience.
+ High school diploma or equivalent and 9+ years business operations or related experience.
+ Master’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Finance, Technical, Marketing, or related field.
+ 5+ years experience with ERP, CRM (e.g., Sales Force), business analytics (e.g., Tableau), Microsoft suite, or related systems/applications.
+ 2+ years experience in Semiconductor or related industry.
+ 1+ years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Director level and above).
+ 3+ years experience working in a large matrixed organization
+ 3+ years of experience managing multiple high visibility, strategic and complex projects with minimal supervision
+ 3+ years in using data and analytics to solve problems
+ 3+ years experience in lifecycle management is a plus
+ Frequently transports between offices, buildings, and campuses up to ½ mile.
+ Frequently transports and installs equipment up to 5 lbs.
+ Performs required tasks at various heights (e.g., standing or sitting).
+ Monitors and utilizes computers and test equipment for more than 6 hours a day.
+ Continuous communication which includes the comprehension of information with colleagues, customers, and vendors both in person and remotely.
