We have two job opportunities to assist with public information and educational programs for the Iipay ~ Tipai Kumeyaay Mut Niihepok (Land of the First People) Exhibit Area at Old Town San Diego State Historic Park.

 

Park Interpretive Specialist ($15-$18.18 per hour): Applications due 4/19/2021. Qualifications include:

Education equivalent to graduation from college (1) with major work in natural sciences or human history, or (2) with major work in education with specialization in natural science or human history.
·        Experience in the planning and organizing of historical, cultural, and natural interpretive programs.

·        Knowledge of local/regional indigenous cultures, perspectives, organizations, and stories of significance.

Seasonal Park Aide ($15-$17.17 per hour): Applications due 4/19/2021. Qualifications include:

Education equivalent to completion of the twelfth grade.
Experience in park operations (answering visitor questions, providing educational programs, working weekends and holidays, etc.).
Knowledge of local/regional indigenous cultures, perspectives, organizations, and stories of significance.
