The California Science Center is recruiting a Curator of Life Sciences! The Curator of Life Sciences is a unique State of California civil service position under the classification Administrator, Science Programs. This role will oversee our award-winning Ecosystems exhibits, direct the development of exciting new life sciences exhibits, and work closely with a dynamic cross-departmental team to ensure the ongoing success of the Science Center’s live animal exhibits. A PhD is required, with expertise in areas of biology related to ecology, biodiversity, conservation, environmental science, and/or climate change. Experience with the Association of Zoos & Aquariums accreditation process is a plus.

The first step in a civil service recruitment process includes a required examination. The examination will be used to determine eligibility for hire in the Administrator, Science Program classification. Candidates who successfully complete the examination will be invited to apply for the job once it is posted publicly.
