Job Description

Under the Partnership to Advance Tribal Health (PATH), Comagine Health supports the Indian Health Service (IHS) to improve healthcare for American Indians and Alaska Natives by implementing best practices and identifying operational improvement needs.

As a member of our Quality & Safety Initiatives team, you would provide health care consulting and technical assistance, while also contributing to the development of programs, interventions, and other strategies that balance contract deliverables with the true intent of the work and Comagine Health’s Mission and Vision.

In this role, you would:

Use data and improve systems for quality improvement and reporting purposes
Manage the full-cycle quality improvement process including planning, development, implementation, evaluation, and improvement for one or more IHS hospitals.
Review hospital quality data; use the information to help hospitals develop, execute, monitor, and evaluate support plans.
Develop intervention materials for project activities.
Develop and conduct quality improvement training for front-line IHS staff.
Represent Comagine Health in local, state, and national committees, and at external events as needed.

Required Skills:

Familiarity with healthcare clinical and operational workflows plus medical terminology.
Knowledge of and experience with quality improvement methods and tools.
Familiarity with Indian Health Services and/or population health management within American Indian and Alaska Native communities strongly preferred.
Residency in New Mexico plus availability to travel up to 25%.
Required Experience4+ years of clinical and/or operational work experience in healthcare that includes quality improvement.
BA / BS in a healthcare related field (equivalent combination of education and work experience may be substituted).
MA / MS in a healthcare related field, or prior project management experience, preferred.
